Saúde mental das gestantes no contexto da pandemia da COVID-19: revisão integrativa

Sinopse

O aparecimento de um novo coronavírus – detectado pela primeira vez em Wuhan, na China (final de 2019) – impactou o mundo. A Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) viria a declarar estado de pandemia três meses depois (no dia 11 de março de 2020), devido à rápida disseminação do vírus entre os países e às altas taxas de morbidade e mortalidade(1). É causador da COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019), uma doença altamente contagiosa que apresenta febre, tosse seca e dispneia como sintomas iniciais (2,3), cuja disseminação se dá, principalmente, através de gotículas respiratórias que contêm o vírus(3). Como consequência, governos e autoridades da saúde pública implementaram medidas de biossegurança, as quais incluíram distanciamento espacial, isolamento e até medidas de bloqueio parcial e total da circulação de pessoas, tudo isso para tentar conter a propagação do vírus (4, 5). Além de impactos nos sistemas de saúde e na economia, a pandemia ocasionou reações negativas imediatas nos pacientes, com efeitos físicos e mentais, afetando adversamente a saúde de milhares de pessoas, com aumento dos sintomas de ansiedade e depressão (4, 5, 6).
