Desafios na inclusão escolar de Crianças com Necessidades Especiais de Saúde: a perspectiva dos familiares
Sinopse
No âmbito da literatura internacional, as Crianças com Necessidades Especiais de Saúde são denominadas Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN)(1) e, no Brasil, CRIANES(2). Estas têm especificidades em relação às demais crianças, por apresentarem condições de saúde que requerem cuidados especiais por serviços de saúde especializados e suportes sociais constantes, no atendimento às demandas para seu desenvolvimento(3). A Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) estima que aproximadamente 150 milhões de crianças têm algum tipo de deficiência, o que aumenta o custo de vida, em média, em cerca de um terço da renda(4). Além disso, os cuidados com essas crianças demandam capacitação dos familiares, dos profissionais de saúde e de outros profissionais, a exemplo dos educadores(5). [...]
